Foggy Conditions Hit Abu Dhabi

By Mala Yachts -June 20, 2023

Motorists are advised to exercise additional caution on the roads as foggy conditions were reported in certain parts of Abu Dhabi on Tuesday morning. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued red and yellow weather alerts. Today, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy with hazy skies across most parts of the country, and there is a possibility of rainfall in some areas, according to the NCM.

Temperatures are anticipated to range between 41-46°C as the maximum, while the minimum temperatures will be between 21-26°C. Along the coastal areas, temperatures will reach highs of 37-42°C, while in the mountainous regions, they will range between 31-36°C. The NCM also mentioned that there will be light to moderate winds, occasionally picking up speed and causing blowing dust and sand with speeds ranging from 15 to 25 km/hr, reaching up to 45 km/hr.

Humidity levels are expected to reach 65-85% in coastal areas and 45-65% in mountainous regions. Relative humidity is likely to increase during the night and early morning of Wednesday, particularly in coastal and inland areas, leading to mist formation. The sea conditions are expected to be relatively calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
