Dubai is currently experiencing an exciting time for art as the city prepares for its first-ever digital art festival. Over 100 digital artists from all around the world are arriving in Dubai this week to showcase their artwork at the festival. The event, which will be taking place in Downtown Dubai from Thursday, February 23 to March 4, is organized by Art in Space.

The festival promises to offer a unique experience for art enthusiasts with a variety of exhibits and immersive displays. The opening night of the festival will feature the work of Michael Benistry, whose art pieces are inspired by the UAE’s national bird, the falcon. His work will be accompanied by an original score of Middle Eastern instruments, creating a five-senses immersive artwork that visitors will not want to miss.

The second event of the festival, titled ‘BoulevArt,’ will take place on February 24. Visitors can expect to be treated to an immersive experience of digital and video art, web3, and NFT art pieces. Along with the exhibit, there will also be a series of talks and panel discussions featuring prominent names in the art world. It is free to attend, but an RSVP is required.

Following this, there will be an exhibition called Sensations, starting on February 27. The exhibition will showcase works created specifically to be experienced on a multi-sensorial level. Visitors can enjoy this exhibition until March 3.

Lorenzo Rosettani, CEO of Art in Space Dubai, expressed his excitement in bringing this milestone digital art festival to the city. He believes that Dubai’s vision to strengthen the art and culture scene will help the art industry in the country flourish.

For those looking for more art experiences, there are several other events taking place around Dubai during art season. The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has transformed into an open-air art gallery, while the Sikka Art and Design Festival will be held in the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood in Old Dubai from February 24 to March 5. The popular Art Dubai will also be back for a brand-new season in March at Madinat Jumeirah. Those interested in immersive digital art can head to TODA for a Van Gogh exhibition.

Overall, the digital art festival in Downtown Dubai promises to be an exciting event for art enthusiasts. With so many talented artists from all over the world showcasing their artwork, visitors can expect a unique and unforgettable experience.
