3 Unique Iftar Experiences to Try Abu Dhabi This Ramadan

By Mala Yachts -March 10, 2023

We want to find ways to make this Ramadan special because the Holy Month is coming up quickly. Even though it’s a time for reflection and coming together, there are many ways to make it both respectful and memorable. In Abu Dhabi, you can celebrate Ramadan with a creative iftar or two this holy month.

1.   At the National Aquarium

Aquarium

In partnership with Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri, The National Aquarium will host an underwater iftar that will give guests special access to The National Aquarium. On April 10 and 11, business partners, family, and friends are all welcome to come to this amazing place. The Shangi-kitchen La’s staff will serve iftar with flavors from all over the region. The experience costs Dhs600 per person and must be booked at least 48 hours ahead of time.

2.   Al Ain Zoo with the Lions and Giraffes

From March 23 to April 21, get ready for a Ramadan like no other: a feast to break the fast under the stars with some pretty wild people. At Al Ain Zoo, you can eat while lions and giraffes keep an eye on you. This special Ramadan dinner date has the best guests, whether they are the king of the jungle or the majestic Miss Zafarana with her long neck.

3.   Immersed in Art

Sitting among some of the most famous art in the world, guests are invited to the Aptitude Cafe during Ramadan to enjoy art-themed evenings all week long. On Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, you can break your fast with a Dhs165 three-course iftar set menu that includes Middle Eastern and international dishes. Similarly, on Thursdays and Fridays, the cafe will have an a la carte celebration of Mediterranean street food and local souk cultures. On Tuesdays, they will have Manoushe nights.

At the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the famous Fouqets will serve a traditional iftar menu with a French twist. For example, lentil soup with truffle foam will be served with a French twist. The menu will be available for Dhs390 per person all day, every day. If you want a private event for a larger group, you can get one for both iftar and suhoor at the Art Lounge.
