Dubai Introduces System to Fly Without Identity Documents
With its innovative biometric technology, Dubai is changing the way people experience air travel for the better.
The system, which was introduced by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), does away with the necessity for a passport or boarding permit at Dubai’s international airports.
There is no longer any need to wait in line or carry around a passport or other kind of government-issued identification. Through the use of facial recognition technology, travelers may now freely move about the airport terminal.
Combining facial and iris recognition, the technology makes air travel safer and more convenient.
All foreign nationals, UAE citizens, and guests whose personal information has been submitted to the GDRFA since 2019 can take use of this novel approach.
Using the GDRFA system for future journeys after your biometric data has been entered and saved there will be quick and easy.
It’s no surprise that Dubai is at the forefront of aviation innovation; the city’s new biometric system is just the latest way it’s enhancing the travel experience for its residents and visitors. Thanks to this revolutionary technique, flyers may kick back and take it easy throughout flight.
